About the Indian River Lagoon Project
The Indian River Lagoon Project is an information clearinghouse that archives informative content from organizations involved in the restoration, preservation, and administration of the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary.
indianriverlagoonnews.org and Indian River Lagoon Project, are owned and operated by a private entity as a free service to the Indian River Lagoon community. Indian River Lagoon Project is not a commercial venture, we do not sell anything and there are no advertisements here. Indian River Lagoon Project is not a Non-Profit Organization, we do not ask for contributions and there is not a single Donate button on this site.
By it's nature, the Indian River Lagoon Project will always be a work in progress. Currently there are 4 main sections: Estuary, Guide, Community and Portal. Main Category is the top level of the site. Directory displays the site's content by subject topic. This Site Plan outlines the portal's current and proposed features.
Please create an account to take advantage of member features, including member profiles, personal page, discussion pages, custom site preferences and most importantly, the ability to publish content.
If you would like to contribute to this effort please sign up and start uploading informative content. In many of the site's sections, contributing is as simple as gathering the requested information and pasting it into a form. It's easy to post, edit and update pictures, videos, web links, essays and reference articles.
Commercial advertisements and promotional content is not allowed here. Organizations are welcome to sign up, customize their profile page, and publish educational content that includes a single company website link in the footnotes. Gain more presence on the site by publishing more educational content.
Most of the text on this site is composed without a spell checker and is written by someone (me) with less than perfect grammar. Please feel free to sign up and correct any egregious errors you may find.
