About the Indian River Lagoon Project
The Indian River Lagoon Project is an information clearinghouse that archives informative, educational content from the many organizations involved in the restoration, preservation, and administration of the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary.
Please create an account to take advantage of our member features, including user profiles, personal page, discussion pages, custom site preferences and most importantly, the ability to contribute content.
By it's nature, the Indian River Lagoon Project will always be a work in progress. Currently there are 4 main sections: Guide, Estuary, Community and Portal. This Site Plan outlines the portal's current and planned features.
indianriverlagoonnews.org and Indian River Lagoon Project, are owned and operated by a private entity as a free service to the Indian River Lagoon community. Indian River Lagoon Project is not a commercial venture, we do not sell anything and there are no advertisements here. Indian River Lagoon Project is not a Non-Profit Organization, we do not ask for contributions and there is not a single Donate button on this site.
If you would like to contribute to this effort please sign up and start adding content. In many of the site's sections, contributing is as simple as gathering the requested information and pasting it into a form. It's easy to post, edit and update pictures, videos, web links, essays and reference articles.
Promotional commercial content is not allowed here. Organizations are welcome to sign up, customize their profile page, and contribute informative, educational reference content that includes a single company website link in the footnotes.
Most of the text content on this site has been composed without the advantage of spell check and is written by someone (me) with less than perfect grammatical skills. Please feel free to sign up and correct any egregious errors you find on the site.
