Canaveral National Seashore is a recreational paradise with back-country camping, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, surfing, swimming, boating and birdwatching opportunities.
Passing through the beach barrier island, brackish lagoon, coastal hammock, pine flatwoods and pristine beach, you will want to linger in this primitive Florida environment to view an endangered woodstork feeding in the lagoon, an alligator basking along a canal, or a West Indian Manatee near the Eldora State House.
The seashore's northern entrance is at Apollo Beach in Volusia's New Symyrna. The south entrance is at Playalinda Beach, east of Titusville in Brevard. The park is open from 6am to dusk. Vehicle Fee: $15.00. Motorcyle Fee: $10.00. Visit the Canaveral National Seashore] website for current news and information.
