This template query's Cargo Definition Table for a term (parameter 1), sends the results to Template:Define_word which then uses Template:Abbr to display a dotted underlined word that when clicked or hovered will display a tooltip (Gadget:ReferencesTooltip) to display the term, pronunciation and definition.
