In early 2016, the Florida Sierra Club helped in the development of the Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition in order to create a large organized effort to save the Indian River Lagoon. In early 2016, the Florida Sierra Club joined with other advocacy groups to form the Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition, in order to wage an organized effort to save the Indian River Lagoon.
