This race is a fundraiser for the Treasure Coast Manatee Foundation and all proceeds from this race are used to enhance environmental education programs offered at the Manatee Observation and Education Center, focusing on conservation and preservation of the Indian River Lagoon, an estuary of national significance, marine life within the lagoon, and the surrounding ecosystems.
