Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is reminding beachgoers that they can help protect nesting sea turtles by practicing some simple tips. (1) · In an effort to protect residents from increasing environmental challenges and in keeping with it's Vision Statement, the City of Cape Canaveral has implemented numerous lagoon friendly sustainability initiatives. (1) · Indian River County has received a $650,000 grant from the Florida DEP for construction of an Aquatic Plant System to remove nutrients from farm waters before discharge into the Indian River Lagoon.
